I made J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s Cheesy Congee with Bacon, Charred Corn, Scallions, and Cilantro recipe from The Wok.
Congee remains to see a lackluster reception from the family. 3 stars ★★★☆☆

Conjured an excellent breakfast this morning:
Chopped hard-boiled egg, half an avocado, prik nam som (a Thai condiment that's mostly sour, a little spicy, and a little sweet), and a pinch of salt. Mix all of that in a bowl kind of like an egg salad and spread on toast.
Delicious!
I made J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s Prik Nam Som recipe to go with the Thai-Style Jok. I liked it better than how I had made it previously!

We were not fans of the egg surprise!

The description and visual did not excite the family, but maybe they liked it anyways? I’m going with a confused 3 stars ★★★☆☆
